Welcome to the Bret Harte Middle School National Science Bowl Blog

This is the blog for the 2018-2019 National Science Bowl (NSB) team for Bret Harte Middle School in San Jose, California. We will be posting announcements here during the duration of the NSB program.This blog is maintained by Terry Carroll and Lucy Carroll, coaches for this year's team. Members of the team and their parents can post questions here in reply to posts.

The National Science Bowl is a nationwide competition for high school and  middle school students sponsored by the United States Department of Energy. It tests students’ knowledge in mathematics, biology, chemistry, Earth science, and physics.

Our first meeting will be Saturday 5pm on campus at the Marquee area. Students who are interested, please bring a parent and meet us there!

Written Test Results

Students participating in Speech and Debate will take part in the second session, starting at approximately 4:30. This testing session is mandatory , and no makeup sessions will be possible.
